Abstract:
In view of increasing expectations of our patients in daily practice, the challenge in risk management is ever increasing. In depth communication and empathy with clients to understand their expectations is of utmost importance. The lecture will share experience in dealing with emergencies, aligning personal objectives in clinical practice, dealing with difficult patients, streamlining surgical practices with the theme of 'From Generalization to Simplification and Personalization'. Cases on dentoalveolar surgery, impacted teeth, oral pathology in relation to implant placement will be discussed. The emphasis is put on assessment, preoperative diagnosis, planning and communication in order to avoid complications. The doctrine of the ‘KEEP it SIMPLE’ principle would be illustrated to keep things stupidly simple in the hands of a single dental practitioner.
