Designing the Exit: Tissue Conditioning, Emergence Profiles, and the Biology of Long-Term Success

Course Highlight:

Designing the Exit: Tissue Conditioning, Emergence Profiles, and the Biology of Long-Term Success

Abstract:

Why do beautiful implants still develop problems years later? The answer lies often above the bone, in the supracrestal complex—the critical zone where soft tissue and prosthetic design meet. This session explores how deliberate tissue conditioning and emergence profiles determine long-term success and how digital workflows can help design the final outcome before the first incision, turning unpredictable biology into a planned advantage.

Hands-on:

1. Customizing healing abutments: Practice fabricating customised healing abutments chairside to actively condition the peri-implant soft tissues—learn how subtle contour adjustments guide the emergence profile and sculpt an ideal tissue cuff.

2. Capturing & Transferring the Profile: Get hands-on with digital techniques to record the conditioned tissue contour and accurately transfer the emergence profile to the final restoration—preserving the result you've engineered.
