Clinical Success
Abstract:
Mandibular Advancement
Device (MAD) is a non-invasive treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) that
repositions the mandible anteriorly to enhance airway patency during sleep. It
is a viable option, particularly for patients with mild to moderate OSA. This
workshop will focus on the key steps of the MAD workflow. Participants will
learn essential skills in patient assessment, assessment of temporomandibular
disorders (TMD), design, fabrication, and application of the device to optimize
treatment outcomes.
By the end of the
hands-on session, each participant will receive a measuring gauge for jaw
advancement and an instrument for TMD assessment, equipping them with the
knowledge and tools for immediate clinical application.
