Fundamentals for Predictable and Successful Adhesive Ceramic Restorations

Abstract: 

- Join us for a two-day course tailored for restorative dentists who may be new to adhesive restorations or wish to enhance their skills and knowledge to achieve more predictable outcomes. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the essential concepts behind adhesive restorations, enabling them to effectively perform these procedures from start to finish.

- The curriculum includes lectures, live demonstrations on manikin models, and hands-on practice, covering key topics such as Rubber Dam Isolation, Preparation Guidelines, Immediate Dentin Sealing, and Bonding Protocols. By the end of the course, attendees will have the confidence and practical skills needed to successfully integrate adhesive ceramic restorations into their clinical practice.

Learning Objectives: 

Module 1 - 05th September 2025 (Friday)

Tooth Preparation, IDS, & Deep Margin Elevation Protocols

-  Live Demo and supervised hands-on practice on tooth preparation on an intact tooth and on a tooth with a Large Defect (ie. simulating deep caries) and how to perform Immediate Dentin Sealing (IDS) and Deep Margin Elevation

-  A review of the literature/evidence in support of the presented approach

Module 2 - 12th September 2025 (Friday)

Temporization, Try-in & Final Delivery Protocols

- Live Demo and supervised hands-on practice of different temporization methods and the protocol for try-in and bonding of an e.max final restoration with heated composite resin.

- A review of the literature/evidence in support of the presented approach
